Award winning Jo specialises in gilded decoration combining gilding, hand printing and painting. She takes antique and vintage lace both as an inspiration and as a resource. Through gilding she creates precious collectable pieces.
Her range of jewellery includes a humble piece of crochet transformed to statement earrings with matching necklace by gold gilding and, by applying copper to vintage lace, she reveals an on-trend 1970s choker. Laser-cut coloured gilded lace is fashioned into unusual necklaces.
Her accessories include a clutch evening bag incorporating gilded butterfly Cluny lace with vibrant silk in a range of colours. Jo further uses lace as a print medium to create stunning wall pieces that would enhance contemporary interiors.
She frequently lectures nationally for NADFAS and the Embroiderers’ Guilds and delivers workshops for West Dean College, amongst others.
